Robert Henderson's Statement
As believers, our desire and passion should be to see the fullest demonstration and expression of kingdom life we can possibly see. This includes our own lives, families, businesses, churches, ministries and the cultures we are a part of. from a biblical perspective, this cannot happen without real and true apostles taking their place. 1 Corinthians 12:28 declares:
"And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues."
Apostles were set first in the church. when we investigate the book of Acts, we see apostles being the only ministry gift mentioned until Acts 8. Then we see the “evangelist” Philip in Samaria. this could mean the only recognized ministry gift in the upper room on the day of pentecost were apostles. every other ministry gift spoken of in Ephesians 4:11 came "out" of the apostles' ministry.
Ephesians 4:11 (NKJV)
"11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and
some pastors and teachers."
From this, we conclude that all parts of the five-fold ministry gifts are to carry apostolic DNA and perspective in their function. Everyone is not an apostle, but all are to think apostolically. Everything was to flow out of an apostolic agenda. That agenda is to see the Kingdom of God manifest in every phase of life. We are here to change the world and see nations reflect His glory. This requires true apostles taking their place. GRA, or "Global Roundtable of Apostles," is designed to recognize, reveal, and establish relationships that help this occur. We are expecting a new rising of real apostles that are empowered to steward the revivals of God and see transformation and reformation come to the nations. This includes church apostles but also marketplace apostles. If you are considered a true apostle, please check out Global Roundtable of Apostles. We look forward to connecting.
